Σας καλωσορίζω θερμά στο Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών «Ενέργεια: Στρατηγική, Δίκαιο & Οικονομία» του Τμήματος Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς. Πρόκειται για ένα από τα ελάχιστα μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα στην Ευρώπη, το οποίο εστιάζει στη μελέτη κεντρικών διαστάσεων της Ενέργειας με τρόπο διεπιστημονικό και πολυεπίπεδο, καθιστώντας το με αυτόν τον τρόπο ένα καινοτόμο, πρωτοποριακό μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα. Το πρόγραμμά μας ξεκίνησε την πορεία του το 2014 με εξαιρετική επιτυχία και με μεγάλη αποδοχή τόσο από την ακαδημαϊκή όσο και από την επιχειρηματική κοινότητα. Προσαρμοζόμενο πάντα στις εξελίξεις και τα δεδομένα στον τομέα της Ενέργειας, από το 2017 μέχρι και σήμερα προσφέρεται πλέον ως αγγλόφωνο μεταπτυχιακό και μάλιστα με πολύ μεγάλη απήχηση, πράγμα που συνέβαλε στη διεθνή του αναγνώριση. Απευθύνεται τόσο σε πτυχιούχους, οι οποίοι στοχεύουν στην απόκτηση ισχυρών εφοδίων προκειμένου να καταστούν ανταγωνιστικοί και να ανταποκριθούν επιτυχώς στις απαιτήσεις του κλάδου της ενέργειας αλλά και της ενεργειακής πολιτικής, όσο και σε τεχνοκράτες, οι οποίοι επιθυμούν την εμβάθυνση σε έναν τομέα με άμεσο αντίκτυπο στην κοινωνία, τη βιομηχανία και την οικονομία. Στηρίζει την εξειδίκευση τόσο στον ενεργειακό τομέα, όσο και σε ένα μεγάλο πλήθος άλλων τομέων, όπως τα δίκτυα και τις υποδομές, το περιβάλλον, τη βιομηχανία και τη ναυτιλία, σε διεθνείς οργανισμούς, ελληνικές και διεθνείς ενεργειακές επιχειρήσεις, τη δημόσια διοίκηση σε εθνικό και υπερεθνικό επίπεδο, τις ρυθμιστικές αρχές, τα μέσα ενημέρωσης, τα ινστιτούτα ανάλυσης και δεξαμενές σκέψης, εταιρείες συμβούλων επιχειρήσεων, δικηγορικές εταιρείες καθώς και το διπλωματικό σώμα. Με γνώμονα τις διεθνείς προκλήσεις στον τομέα της ενέργειας και των ενεργειακών πόρων σε συνδυασμό με τη γεωπολιτική σημασία της Ελλάδος, στόχος μας είναι να σας προσφέρουμε τα κατάλληλα εργαλεία και τις απαιτούμενες γνώσεις ώστε να συμμετέχετε δυναμικά στις εξελίξεις του ενεργειακού τομέα σε εθνικό, ευρωπαϊκό και διεθνές επίπεδο. Το πρόγραμμά μας διακρίνεται για τη διεπιστημονικότητά του, γεγονός που φανερώνουν τόσο το πρόγραμμα μαθημάτων του όσο και η ομάδα των διδασκόντων. Καταξιωμένοι/ες καθηγητές/τριες, νομικοί, οικονομολόγοι, διεθνολόγοι καθώς και μηχανικοί βρίσκονται μεταξύ των μελών της τα οποία προέρχονται τόσο από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς όσο και από άλλα κορυφαία πανεπιστήμια και ερευνητικά κέντρα της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού. Κίνητρο για τις συνεχείς μας προσπάθειες διατήρησης και βελτίωσης του ήδη υψηλού επιπέδου σπουδών που παρέχουμε, αποτελεί το εξαιρετικό επίπεδο των φοιτητών/τριών μας, που αποτελούν και τους καλύτερους πρεσβευτές της ποιότητας του Προγράμματος. Στόχος μας είναι να παρέχουμε γνώση και εξειδίκευση αιχμής στον τομέα της Ενέργειας. Dimitris Triantafyllopoulos, Chief Executive Officer, Hellenic Hydrogen S.A.

Dimitris Triantafyllopoulos is an experienced energy-sector professional with more than twenty years of work across both conventional and emerging energy markets. His career has been consistently focused on the strategic transformation of the energy system, with emphasis on clean energy technologies, energy efficiency solutions, and integrated energy management practices. He has been actively involved in initiatives that advance energy transition pathways, decarbonisation strategies, and sustainable development objectives at national and sectoral level.

In January 2023, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Hellenic Hydrogen S.A., Greece’s national vehicle for the development of the domestic hydrogen ecosystem. In this capacity, he leads efforts to build essential hydrogen infrastructure, accelerate market readiness, and establish hydrogen as a key pillar of the country’s long-term climate and energy strategy.

He is a graduate of the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, and holds postgraduate degrees in Environmental Technology from UMIST and Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick — an academic combination that brings together environmental science, technological innovation, and strategic management.

Christina Papapostolou, Director European Affairs & Funding, PPC Group

Christina Papapostolou is the EU Affairs Director at PPC Group, the leading electricity utility in Southeastern Europe, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the energy and industrial sectors. She has held managerial positions across these fields and has extensive expertise as a Policy Advisor and Project Coordinator in numerous EU-funded initiatives.

She combines her academic background with hands-on industry experience to contribute to EU and public policy, actively participating in European policy dialogue. In parallel, she teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer at universities in Greece and Cyprus.

Christina holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations, an MA in Organisational Analysis and Behaviour, and a PhD in Public and European Policies. She speaks English, French, Bulgarian, and Greek.

Yiannis Kalafatas, Founder & CEO, FORDOERS, Former Chief Executive Director, Metlen Energy & Metals

Yiannis Kalafatas is the Founder & CEO of FORDOERS, an initiative dedicated to upskilling the backbone of the economy and delivering real, measurable impact in sectors facing significant challenges.

With more than 20 years of experience in the energy and industrial sectors, he has served as Chief Executive Director and Chief Executive Director Energy at Metlen Energy & Metals, leading major strategic projects and organizational transformations. His earlier career includes a senior management role at Grant Thornton, where he specialized in corporate strategy, business development, and operational restructuring.

Yiannis Kalafatas has held leadership positions in complex and demanding environments, combining deep market understanding with hands-on experience in managing large organizations and driving sustainable business solutions.

Panagiotis Liargovas, Professor of Economics, University of the Peloponnese, President & Scientific Director, Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE), President, National Productivity Board

Panagiotis Liargovas studied Economics at the University of Athens and at Clark University in Massachusetts (USA), where he also completed his PhD in 1991.

He has been a recipient of prestigious scholarships, including the Fulbright Program, the Bakalas Foundation, and Clark University. He has taught abroad at Clark University, the University of Strasbourg, and the University of Bologna, as well as in Greece at the Universities of Athens, Patras, and Thessaly.

His professional experience includes serving as a trainee at the European Commission, Special Advisor at the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Municipality of Athens, as well as Director at the National School of Public Administration. From 2013 to 2018, he served as Head of the Parliamentary Budget Office of the Hellenic Parliament.

He is currently a Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of the Peloponnese. Since October 2019, he has been President and Scientific Director of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) and President of the National Productivity Board. He has published more than 100 articles in international academic journals and authored over 20 books.

Helena Athoussaki, Chief Sustainability Officer, Motor Oil Group, Greece

Helena Athoussaki is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Motor Oil Group in Greece. Awarded Manager of the Year in 2022, she brings many years of experience in the Energy and Shipping sectors, with a strong focus on Decarbonization and Sustainable Development.

Throughout her career, Helena Athoussaki has held sustainability leadership roles in international corporations, undertaking strategic assignments for both the private and public sectors in the areas of Decarbonization, Sustainable Finance, and ESG integration. She is an active speaker and contributor to various think tanks and working groups shaping the sustainability agenda.

Helena Athoussaki holds an MBA from ALBA, an MA from Middlesex University (UK), and has completed executive programs at Oxford Saïd Business School and London Business School.
