Name: Aligizaki Aspasia
Aspasia Aligizaki has been a Laboratory and Teaching Staff (EDIP) Member at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus since 2022, where she teaches the courses Introduction to Law, EU Policies, European Integration, European Energy Law, EU Institutions and Governance, as well as International and European Human Rights Law. She has a rich research background and has completed her postdoctoral research (2020-2024) on the topic “The impact of international and European law regarding maritime energy sources, infrastructures, and routes on the balance of power in the SE Mediterranean” at the University of Piraeus. She also has an extensive body of published work on issues of European law, energy, and geopolitics, such as the textbooks “Law and Geopolitics of Energy” (Sakkoulas, 2023 – 2nd edition 2025), “International and European Law of Fundamental Freedoms-Rights” (Sakkoulas, 2024), and “Law, Institutions, Governance and Policies of the EU – Challenges and Prospects” (Sakkoulas, 2025).
