Guest Speaker: Dr. Ioannis Bassias
The MSc in Energy: Strategy, Law & Economics of the University of Piraeus
had the honor to host Dr. Ioannis Bassias, an international consultant and
distinguished expert in the energy sector, as part of its Business Talks in
Energy lecture series.
During his presentations, Dr. Bassias examined critical aspects of today’s
evolving energy landscape. His analysis covered strategic approaches to
addressing electricity-production gaps through high-density energy systems,
the factors shaping LNG value and influencing hub prices worldwide, the
intersection of Artificial Intelligence with the geopolitics of natural gas, and the
dynamics of energy competition in the Mediterranean.
The sessions offered students a comprehensive and timely understanding of
developments in the global energy environment, highlighting the importance
of continuously linking academic knowledge with real-world industry
challenges.
The Program Director, Assoc. Professor Georgios Galanos, extends his
sincere appreciation to Dr. Bassias for his valuable contribution, as well as to
the students for their active and constructive participation.
